Mr and Mrs Webster
The best part of my job is photographing friends I have known since I was a kid. On May 12, 2017 I got to photograph Ryan and Lindsay's wedding in the brand new hall, Mercantile Hall in our hometown of Burlington, Wisconsin!
I always cry at weddings, I can hold it together pretty well, but it never fails. Usually, I make it till the father-daughter dance. Not at Ryan and Lindsay's wedding. The minute I walked into the hall, I started to choke up.
Ryan and Lindsay's love story began 10 plus years ago. At dinner, Ryan apologized to Lindsay's parents for it "taking so long" to marry her, but each time they planned a wedding, a daughter was born. Two incredible and beautiful daughters and 10 years later, here they are today.
I couldn't be more honored to be chosen to photograph their day. I may over share their wedding, my apologies in advance!
If you're looking for that industrial feel for your wedding in the intimate setting and hospitality of Small Town USA, look no further than Mercantile Hall!
Lindsay's stunning gown was a Stella York she purchased at Bon Bon Belle located just above Mercantile! (Where Lindsay works too!). Her girls' flower girl dresses were hadmade! The mix of golds, pinks and textures were a photographer's dream!
My jaw dropped when I saw Lindsay's incredible bouquet designed by the talented Joanne at Tattered Leaf in Lyons, Wisconsin! Their cake was made by Ryan's aunt! I couldn't get enough of the handmade love that brought their wedding together.
A few moments for Ryan to read Lindsay's letter moments before the big moment.
This is about when I began ugly crying behind the camera. Even now, putting this blog together, I'm crying. I cannot say enough good things about these two.
It was as though no one else was in the room at the time, but them. Ryan told Lindsay how beautiful she was as soon as she was standing in front of him.
I'm definitely ugly crying right now trying to put this blog together.
The speeches brought even more tears. Erica and Kevin had some funny stories, Kevin talked about how much he loved being Uncle Bear and Ryan brought the room to silence with his beautiful words to his mother, Lindsay's parents for raising such an incredible woman and apologizing for taking so long to marry her. He thanked everyone with genuine gratitude for helping he and Lindsay finally bring their wedding together.
After their dance, father-daughter and mother son dance, they brought their two girls to the dance floor to dance as a family to "You are the Best Thing" by Ray LaMontagne
The rest of their night the Lunch Money Bullies kept the party going all night long! They had the old building rocking and it was a definite way to keep guests on the dance floor!
For their cake cutting, there were two jars on the table. All night guests were to put money in either jar on who got the cake in the face. Ryan clearly was the popular choice! HAHA!!
Thank you SO MUCH for stopping by and viewing Ryan and Lindsay's wedding!
To my sweet friends Ryan and Lindsay, I cannot thank you enough for choosing me to capture your big day. I love you two and I am so incredibly happy for you two!
All the best,
Kassie
